Launched in 1992, Total Resource Associates, Inc. is a full service interior design firm. TRA has successfully completed a wide range of projects: corporate offices and boardrooms, product showrooms, hospitality, historic restoration of both interior/exterior properties, as well as corporate aircraft interiors. Residential projects have included urban apartments, country homes and weekend retreats. The firm has successfully participated as principal designers on projects as well as in collaboration with other architectural and interior design firms.

The firm employs a design philosophy which blends architectural integrity with creative design on every project.  Through the use of materials and finishes, furniture and furnishings, Mary Montray and Linda Willis integrate client involvement with the highest standard of quality design. Color Marketing Group membership and certification in Historic Preservation as well as a consideration for the use of sustainable products add a depth and perspective to every aspect of their design.

Projects range in size from 500 square feet to over 1,000,000 square feet of interior space.

Interior Design is not static. It requires imagination, creativity and seamless integration of architecture and interiors.

Our inspiration was reverence for the inherent beauty of the iconic Central Park views as well as the surrounding New York City life.

As a team we wanted to enhance the classic modern architectural presence of the building with a timeless interior renovation.

The structural details remained in place while adding a sophisticated and refreshed color palette. Our use of finishes and materials further developed the refined aesthetic meant to envelop the guests as soon as they arrived at the hotel. The guest rooms and corridors reflect a practiced knowledge and expertise, further  confirming that great design can be achieved under any given circumstances. Challenges are ever present for renovation of an existing structure.

The corridors establish the youthful palette as well as the incorporation of sparkling LED chandeliers and wall sconces. The addition of deep crown and base mouldings,  as well as new fittings, fixtures, carpet and furniture in the guest rooms and guest bathrooms further compliment the new transition to a comfortable yet sophisticated style.
